Dear John & Sue
Just a short email to thank you for sharing your house with us.
We were very happy to have found you and the internet is no doubt an excellent tool to promote your business ~ it certainly did what it said on the tin!
The location was just perfect as was your attention to detail and your level of service.
Many thanks for making our few days in Dorset ~ despite the weather ~ a very pleasurable experience.

Hello John & Sue.
Thank you both very much for your hospitality during the last weekend.
The room was perfect. The location beautiful and the breakfast could not be bettered. Your attention to detail is 'four star'. Thanks once again. Kind regards. .

Dear Sue and John,
We stayed with very recently at ' The Alders' and were absolutely delighted with everything; You were both so warm and welcoming on our arrival to your truly beautiful manor house.
We loved our beautiful bedroom, and looking out onto such a peaceful country garden full of apples, blackberries, etc. The only sound was lovely birdsong; so relaxing.
Each morning, after a fabulously deep night's sleep, we really looked forward to coming downstairs into your spacious, split level country-style kitchen- again with lovely garden views. As for breakfast-WOW!! Just couldn't resist your perfectly cooked full English Breakfast with Sue's delicious home-made breads, jams and marmalade! And piping hot cafetiere of really good coffee!
Our room and en-suite was immaculately clean and well presented. Just one complaint-we had to leave!! But we will DEFINITELY be back a.s.a.p without a doubt. Bringing with us the whole family. You are both truly lovely people- multi-talented and delightful to know.
A huge thankyou to you both for looking after us so well and giving us such a perfect holiday in idyllic surroundings.
See you very soon,
David and Trish, Wigan
It's not often that you stay in a lovely village location where everything is undertaken by the very attentive owners, John & Sue - they even built the house. Beautiful clean and comfortable accommodation, tea and coffee room facilities with fresh milk, attractive gardens and an excellent breakfast. In fact, everything you would want from an overnight stay! Try the local pub, The Mitre, for an evening meal - you will not be disappointed.

Dear John and Sue,
We would like to thank you for how you made our stay in Sandford Orcas so nice. It was a real pleasure to see your garden and we're already missing the breakfast. I can only recommend you to any future guests and we hope to return again to enjoy your welcoming homely atmosphere and of course
that of the Mitre with Allen and Cheryl and the locals.

This is a short message to thank you both for giving Anne and I such an enjoyable stay on Monday 5 July. We arrived after a long, hot walk on the Monarch's Way, and found our room and it's facilities just what we needed - the room was comfortable, and the shower refreshing. You gave us a warm welcome, and John was kind enough to drive us to Corton Denham for our evening meal. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and sustaining, and we went on to enjoy another full days walking to Illchester. We were fascinated and impressed by all John's art work and pottery around the house, and it contributed to the unique atmosphere of your home. You certainly deserve all the commendations you have received from the Tourist Board, and we will have no hesitation in recommending you to others. We may well return ourselves at some stage.
Dear John and Sue
I would like to write a few lines for you in order to thank you very much for your hospitality and cordiality. When we came to England last week we have been very very under stress and exhausted. The Alders is a very good place for relaxing and feeling well.
We would like to let you know that we are very happy spending our holidays in your charming country house with extraordinary friendly and hearty people. We always feel very welcome.

We have done a lot of travelling and this is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. Situated on the edge of a small village in the beautiful Dorset countryside it is a haven of peace. The bedroom was spotless and the bed comfortable. Homemade bread and preserves were served at breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for Sue and John who are very friendly and professional in their dealings with their guests. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone wanting a comfortable base for exploring this lovely area.
